Tom O'Mahony

2013 will go down in history as the year that Alex Ferguson left Manchester Utd
and Tom O’Mahony left Commercials  ......

As you all know by now Tom O’Mahony is moving on from our club for the one job he couldn’t say no to and that will be to take up the role of GPO in his own club Faughs.

We were sorry to hear this news; Tom has been a huge part of our clubs recent history and accelerated development and we are sure that he will continue on his work as always with the best of  humour, large dollops of patience and with the sharpest of eye for the qualities that make a young Hurler and Camogie Player.

Tom has been in the club for 6 years and has helped bring it to what it is today.   He not only does trojan work in the club, he also attends the local schools, Scoil Chronain, Holy Family, St. Martins Brittas, St. Finians and St.Mary’s on a weekly basis. Within the community, the work that Tom has done to promote hurling is evident from the hundreds of kids and parents who come to the club each week.

We are going to miss him around the club and hopefully he will come and see us now and again , in our eyes Tom is and always will be an honorary Commercials man!

We would like to wish him every success in his new job!!
